Good Faith Estimate

Under federal law, clients have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) explaining the expected cost of medical or mental health services if they are uninsured or choosing not to use insurance.

Waterhorse Counseling (Kelsey Mammen, LPC) can provide a Good Faith Estimate directly to clients who are paying privately for therapy services.

For Private Pay Clients

If you are not using insurance or prefer to pay privately for therapy services, you have the right to request a Good Faith Estimate outlining the expected cost of your care.

Good Faith Estimates can be provided directly by Kelsey Mammen, LPC prior to beginning services or at any time during treatment upon request.

Scheduling and Billing

Therapy appointments and clinical documentation are managed through TherapyAppointment, Kelsey’s electronic health record system.

Insurance billing may be processed through Headway, depending on your insurance plan.

If you have questions about costs or would like to request a Good Faith Estimate prior to scheduling, you are welcome to reach out through the contact form on this website.

If Your Bill Is Higher Than Expected

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the charge.

You may begin a dispute resolution process through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
